About the
Role:
The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the financial records and transactions of our organization within the administrative and support services sector. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting activities, including cost accounting, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. The Staff Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, ensuring they reflect the true financial position of the company. Additionally, the role involves supporting financial audits and implementing accounting principles and systems to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Accountant will provide vital financial insights that support strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Compiles and analyses data in order records all monthly journal entries, to include but not limited to prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, and credit card activityReconcile daily receipts activity to Customer System including credit card receipts; and prepare monthly bank reconciliationsReconcile balance sheet accounts to include maintaining all subsidiary schedules for prepaid, fixed assets, accrualsProcess weekly payroll to include all payroll changes Record and reconcile monthly health insurance expenses and reconcile to employee deductionsPrepare all bi-monthly and monthly customer billing.

Assists in analyzing AR balance activity for customers. Perform all collection efforts on past due accounts receivable balances.

Prepare and analyze monthly variances for both balance sheet and income statement accountsAssists with special projects or duties as assignedIdentifies and assists in the implementation of accounting systems and control procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP standardsIdentifies opportunities for process improvement and presents recommendations for implementationRequired Education and Experience B.S. in Accounting from accredited four-year college or university, is preferred.

Plus 3-5 years of related experienceRequired QualificationsExcellent knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint requiredAble and willing to work under deadlines. Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detailsStrong error detection, problem solving, decision making and analytical skillsAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentDesire to continuously develop oneselfStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills
