About the
Role:
We are a fast-paced, service-driven landscaping business seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about maintaining strong financial systems behind the scenes.
Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing daily financial operations including accounts receivable, collections, reconciliations and reporting. This role is essential in supporting leadership with accurate, timely financial information to guide business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records using our landscape-specific software Proficient in Microsoft Excel to manage all spreadsheets related to daily operations Manage accounts receivable, invoice processing, and collections Ensure compliance with sales tax and other applicable regulations Organize and maintain all financial documentation and support month-end and year-end reporting
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a contractor setting Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of accounting principles and general ledger High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality Strong organizational and communication skills Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
Preferred Experience:
