Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate spending patterns across labor, materials, inventory, and operational activities to identify cost movements and support informed decision-making.
- Manage fixed asset accounting by maintaining accurate records, calculating depreciation, and completing related account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, journal entries, and monthly close documentation to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders during audits and financial reviews by gathering support, answering inquiries, and resolving discrepancies.
- Contribute to reporting and process updates related to finance system changes when needed as part of broader accounting support.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical summaries using tools such as Excel and Power BI to track cost performance and business trends.
- Support general ledger activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and review of accounting entries for accuracy and completeness. Requirements
- Experience handling core accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry preparation.
- Hands-on involvement with month-end close processes, including reconciliations, reporting, and account analysis.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliations and the ability to investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner.
- Working knowledge of at least one major accounting platform such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present findings clearly through reports or dashboards.
- Advanced or intermediate Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is preferred.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational ability, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
