Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our accounting team. The Accountant will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and month-end closing. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines. Responsibilities Perform daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare customer invoices and monitor accounts receivable balances and collections. Review vendor invoices, process payments, and assist with vendor account reconciliations. Prepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations. Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general ledger transactions. Analyze account balances and investigate discrepancies or unusual activity. Monitor cash balances, cash flow, and upcoming payments. Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for accounting transactions. Support fixed asset accounting and maintain accurate asset records. Assist with sales tax, 1099 reporting, and other accounting-related compliance requirements. Work with internal departments to resolve accounting and billing issues. Communicate with customers and vendors regarding account balances, invoices, payments, and discrepancies. Assist with audits and provide requested financial information and supporting documentation. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Three or more years of accounting experience preferred. Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices. Experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Strong Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas, spreadsheets, and financial data. Experience with an ERP or accounting software system. Manufacturing or cost accounting experience is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
Pay:
$52,562.00 - $62,899.00 per year
