Job Summary/Company :
Sparks Group in partnership with a government contractor is seeking a Senior Accountant. As the Sr Accountant you will work with a small team and will be responsible for the company's day to day accounting operations (General Ledger, journal entries, month end close, reconciliations, reporting, etc). The ideal candidate is a self-starter and quick learner who has a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 5 years of accounting experience (including government accounting experience), who has worked in a large ERP system and has strong Excel skills. Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank/credit card statements, and lines of credit while assisting with timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures. Oversee day-to-day transaction processing, including Accounts Payable bills, credit card transactions, and Accounts Receivable invoicing. Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax, process annual 1099s, and support overall audit and tax compliance requirements. Analyze project status and month-end reports to deliver actionable financial insights while serving as a key finance contact for internal teams, vendors, and clients.Qualifications/Background Profile :
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or related) 5 years' experience in an accounting role working extensively with general ledgers. Experience in government accounting. Experience with large ERP systems, JAMIS experience highly preferred Proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel skills - This job is In-Person.Pay Range:
