Job Description

Senior Accounting Analyst Location:

Tysons, VA (Onsite)

Type:
Direct Hire Compensation:

$90,000

•120,000 base salary

Work Schedule:

Monday

•Friday, approximately 8:00 AM

Competitive benefits package Key Responsibilities Prepare and review customer invoices for Cost-Plus, Time & Materials, and fixed-price contracts Validate labor, subcontractor, and other direct costs for billing accuracy and contractual compliance Perform billing reconciliations and analyze unbilled receivables Assist with final invoices, final vouchers, and contract closeout documentation Monitor contract funding limitations and help resolve billing discrepancies Coordinate with Contracts and Program Management to support accurate and timely billing Support month-end and year-end close activities Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Assist with balance sheet account analysis and financial statement reporting Support external audits and annual financial reporting requirements Maintain accounting records in accordance with company policies and internal controls Assist with annual Incurred Cost Submissions Support indirect cost rate calculations, reconciliations, and true-up analyses Apply FAR Part 31 principles when reviewing allowable and unallowable costs Prepare supporting documentation for DCAA audits and compliance reviews Assist with final indirect rate settlements and contract closeout activities Support continuous improvement initiatives across accounting and finance processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required 2+ years of professional accounting experience required Prior experience within a government contracting environment strongly preferred Experience in government contract billing, project accounting, corporate accounting, or related accounting functions Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis Strong account reconciliation and month-end close experience Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively across departments ERP system experience preferred IND 002-004
