Job Description

Senior Accountant Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join a growing finance and accounting team. This position will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, maintaining general ledger accuracy, preparing reconciliations, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, experience working in deadline-driven environments, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Key Responsibilities Manage and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities. Prepare and record journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications. Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness. Maintain schedules and supporting documentation for fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts. Support inventory accounting processes, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Assist with revenue recognition and accounting activities across multiple entities or business units. Analyze financial results and research fluctuations in account balances. Maintain accounting records and documentation in accordance with established internal control procedures. Assist with compliance-related activities, including internal controls testing and documentation. Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for external reporting requirements. Support internal and external audits by preparing workpapers and responding to audit requests. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to meet reporting deadlines and organizational objectives. Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and
U.S. GAAP.
Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Hands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, fixed assets, and prepaids. Experience supporting financial statement preparation and reporting activities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within established deadlines. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Preferred Public accounting experience or a combination of public and corporate accounting experience. Experience in a SOX-compliant or highly regulated environment. Knowledge of external reporting and audit support processes. Exposure to inventory accounting, revenue recognition, or multi-entity accounting structures.
