Compensation:

$85-90K (depending on experience) We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to manage the financial activities of assigned projects. This individual will partner with project managers and operational teams to oversee project billing, budgets, costs, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage project accounting from setup through closeout Prepare and process client invoices, including time-and-materials, fixed-price, and cost-plus billing Monitor project budgets, costs, revenue, profitability, and cash flow Review contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and subcontractor documentation Perform revenue recognition and ensure compliance with accounting policies Prepare project forecasts and analyze budget-to-actual variances Reconcile project-related accounts and prepare journal entries Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices Partner with project managers to identify financial risks and resolve discrepancies Support month-end close, audit requests, and financial reporting Maintain accurate project records within the accounting system

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 2+ years of project accounting or related accounting experience Experience with project billing, budgeting, cost tracking, and revenue recognition Strong understanding of general accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with an ERP or project accounting system preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
