We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team at our 11 North Main Street, Randolph office location. The ideal candidate will be able to perform a variety of accounting related functions ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
Essential Functions:
Managing Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices and internal payment requests in a timely manner
- Verify proper approvals, documentation and coding
- Prepare weekly check run Lead Bi-weekly payroll processing
- Work with HR staff to ensure payroll adjustments and changes are properly stated
- Pull in data from external sources for mileage and expenses
- Import timecard data ensuring approvals and adjustments are completed
- Work with managers to resolve any issues General Ledger
- Prepare monthly entries for various accounts including payroll, prepaids and standard accruals
- Post daily cash transactions
- Reconcile staff credit card purchases ensuring proper coding, documentation and approvals
- Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly working with Controller to resolve any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and annual audit
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree (preferred) plus 0-4 years relevant experience in accounting/finance OR a combination of education and experience from which comparable skills are acquired is required. Candidate should also have strong analytical and problem-solving skill, as well as the ability to be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks while remaining organized. We are looking for a team player with good communication skills and the ability to work with others Experience with Excel, ADP, Sage-Intact or equivalent systems is beneficial. Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with people from many disciplines and to promote teamwork.
