Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Real Property Specialist/GFEBS Analyst provides critical support by maintaining accurate real property financial data in the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). The position ensures that the real property inventory is existence, complete, and accurate, supporting Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts and compliance with the CFO Act of 1990.
Duties and Responsibilities:
GFEBS Data Management:
Enter, update, and maintain comprehensive real property records in GFEBS, ensuring all data complies with business rules and accounting standards. Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR): Reconcile real property records with physical inventory, ensuring financial transactions are accurately reported and supported by valid documentation.
Physical Inventory:
Conduct or coordinate physical inventories of real property, taking measurements, verifying category codes and usage, and updating records to reflect accurate square footage and use.
Documentation Control:
Ensure all real property physical and digital files are consistent with GFEBS entries.
Job Requirements:
Must be capable of obtaining necessary security clearances, such as the acquisition of a Common Access Card (CAC) card. Must have problem solving skills. Must be able to multi-task to efficiently meet deadlines with quality work. Motivated and able to function as part of a team. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Strong organizational skills Occasional travel may be required. Preferred Skills and/or Experience Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in federal real property management, audit support, or financial analysis.
System Knowledge:
Proficiency in GFEBS navigation, reporting, and real property modules.
Financial Acumen:
Knowledge of federal accounting policies, specifically regarding real property
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in
Microsoft Excel Audit Experience:
Familiarity with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to prepare audit reports and briefings. •Certain job requirements/preferences may be waived for otherwise qualified applicants. The compensation will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate's skills and experience. This position includes health care and retirement benefits. Relocation allowance will not be provided.
