Accounting Associate Responsibilities:
- Maintain one or a combination of generally accepted accounting systems
- Complete accounting procedures (A/R, A/P, payroll entry, cash reconciliation, general ledger)
- Compile and record employee time and payroll data. May compute wages, deductions and prepare payroll using third party payroll software
- Perform basic accounting procedures, journal entries and general ledger maintenance
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to address AR and AP related inquiries
- Assist with PTO tracking, new hire, payroll data entry
- Help review and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform a mix of routine daily functions and month end responsibilities Requirements for
Accounting Associate:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or business-related field preferred
- Exceptional organization and time management skills
- Familiarity with payroll entry and software systems
- High attention to detail; ability to take direction, self-check and follow up on work
- Basic database experience, 10-key by touch, and calculator
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, or other accounting software
- Ability to apply discretion, and trust with confidential company information
- Prior accounting and office experience in a manufacturing environment is helpful
- Knowledge of Epicor ERP systems, and Paylocity payroll a plus
