Job Description

Description Role Overview & Responsibilities Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities. This position performs general ledger, accounting, costing, credit, and reporting functions for the organization to increase profitability. Compile financial, accounting, statistical, or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, taxes, receivables, and profits and losses Gather and maintain data collection and retrieval systems Prepare regular audit information and assist financial auditors during on-site audits Actively engage with Operations Management, providing cost and financial analysis as required to meet financial objectives Develop thorough understanding of ERP and accounting software including financial processes and controls; obtain understanding of inter-relationships among system modules and impact on financial reporting controls Assist in managing customer credit which includes credit worthiness and collection operations Manage and maintain the integrity and operation of the cost accounting system Oversee the daily and monthly cost accounting operations including P&L results and variance analysis; communicate results to management Provide support for preparation of monthly forecast, closing reports, and variance analysis Analyze gross margins and coordinate processes to improve margins Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Managers, and Manufacturing to capture accurate cost information and identify cost reduction and other opportunities Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods or services provided to determine effects on standard cost, actual cost, and the impact on margins Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance One to five years of related work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience Benefits Flexible hours
