LaForce is looking for a Staff Accountant - Payables to join our Accounting team and take ownership of key accounting functions that keep our business running smoothly. This is more than processing invoices—you'll be a trusted resource for vendors and internal teams, help navigate tax compliance, and play an important role in accurate financial reporting and planning. What You'll Do:
Take ownership of the accounts payable process, including matching invoices, processing payments, and resolving billing discrepancies. Analyze expenses and ensure accurate GL coding to support reliable financial reporting. Build strong relationships with vendors and internal teams while managing credits, returns, and tax-related questions. Prepare and file state sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions. Help keep the team up to date on changing tax regulations, requirements, and best practices. Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly expense analysis. Look for opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and procedures.
What You'll Bring:
An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfort working with spreadsheets, ERP systems, and financial data. The ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with vendors and coworkers. A willingness to learn and stay current on tax regulations and compliance requirements. A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Why Join Us?
