Job Description:
Connect Search is partnering with a manufacturing organization in the Greater Madison area to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a high-impact accounting role supporting multiple manufacturing plants with responsibilities focused on month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, audit support, and plant accounting operations. This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering cross-functionally with operations and finance leadership.

$85,000
  • $90,000 base salary

Industry:
Manufacturing Responsibilities Plant Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities for multiple manufacturing plants
  • Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
  • Partner with plant controllers and finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting and support variance analysis
  • Coordinate external audits, prepare supporting documentation, and assist with internal controls and process improvements
  • Oversee fixed assets and support ERP system reporting and optimization initiatives
  • Support cross-functional accounting projects while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting strongly preferred 2-5+ years of general accounting experience required Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred ERP experience preferred Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Interview Process Phone interview with leadership Virtual interview with Accounting Manager Final onsite interview with Finance and HR leadership
