$57,000-$67,000 + Benefits About the Opportunity We're partnering with a modern, growing accounting and advisory firm seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical side of accounting and the relationship-building aspect of working directly with clients. This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping. You'll help business owners better understand their financials, support day-to-day accounting operations, and contribute to process improvements that create real impact for clients. What You'll Be Doing Accounting & Financial Support Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions including transaction entry, reconciliations, and financial record maintenance Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts Process accounts payable activities and assist with cash management support Prepare journal entries including accruals and prepaid expenses Assist with month-end close processes and financial statement preparation Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready financial records Client Communication & Support Communicate directly with clients to gather documentation and clarify financial activity Respond to routine accounting and bookkeeping questions in a professional, timely manner Help translate financial information into practical insights clients can understand and use Process Improvement & Technology Assist with onboarding new clients including account setup, cleanup work, and system transitions Identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvements, and operational efficiencies Support implementation and use of cloud-based accounting tools and integrations What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and reconciliations Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Professional communication skills and a client-service mindset Comfortable working in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity Ability to pass a background check Preferred Qualifications NetSuite experience strongly preferred Exposure to automation platforms such as Zapier or Make Experience working with API-based integrations or connected accounting tools Why This Role Stands Out Opportunity to work directly with a variety of businesses and industries Collaborative and supportive team environment Strong exposure to modern accounting technology and automation Clear opportunity for professional growth and expanded responsibility Firm culture that values innovation, communication, and continuous improvement
