full-time Position Summary The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Finance and business management teams to provide financial reporting, analysis, and operational support. This position will be responsible for analyzing operating expenses, supporting key performance indicator (KPI) reporting, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and other financial projects and analyses. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working collaboratively across the organization. Essential Functions Assist with monthly and year-end financial close processes, including: Preparing and recording period-end journal entries Performing general ledger account reconciliations Supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable processes Preparing monthly financial reports and cash flow forecasts Performing financial variance and trend analysis Participate in the preparation, analysis, and evaluation of annual budgets and financial plans. Identify trends in financial and operational performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Support financial reporting and KPI analysis to improve visibility into business performance. Participate in financial system implementations, process improvements, and other organizational initiatives. Other Duties and Responsibilities Analyze current and historical financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Review operational data and assist with the analysis of departmental costs, overhead, and related financial metrics. Collaborate with members of the Finance team and other departments to review financial information, forecasts, and business performance. Maintain a high level of ethical responsibility and personal accountability for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial data, analysis, and reporting. Lead or contribute to ad hoc financial projects and analyses, including return-on-investment (ROI) modeling and other business assessments. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of relevant accounting or finance experience. Experience in a manufacturing or other operational environment preferred; cost accounting experience is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to identify trends and develop practical solutions. Curious and detail-oriented with the ability to understand and work with data from multiple sources. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management or ERP systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
