Assists with annual audit, budget, payroll, and accounts payable. Serves as the backup to the Controller. Responsibilities Assists with month end close process Utilizes financial accounting systems including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll, and fixed assets Accounts payable system administrator Reviews payroll Reviews daily/monthly bank reconciliation Reviews policies and procedures to increase efficiency and consistency Recommends changes to process if appropriate Reconciles business insurance Assists with annual audit Assists with annual tax return Assists with annual budget Approves ACH payments to cover department absences Handles confidential information including compensation Interacts and assists related parties (UW) and UWHCD employees when necessary Completes external surveys as requested Other Accounting and Finance duties as requested Experience and Education Minimum of 7 years recent experience in Accounting and Finance Experience and strong knowledge base in month end close and reporting, accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll Bachelor's degree in Accounting
