Controller Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities:
Monitor all variance accounts, determine root cause, and take necessary and appropriate actions to correct, reporting variances as required. Supports the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data. Calculate overhead allocations. Calculate direct personnel cost. Calculate machine and equipment rates. Provide support to ensure the accuracy of cost center allocations. Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential. Reconcile bank accounts and various G/L accounts for month end closing. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Prepare any other necessary and appropriate reporting documentation as required. Willingness to share information but can differentiate when the need of confidentiality is required. Perform any task as assigned by Controller and other Senior Leadership. Ability to analyze large sets of data from various sources
Senior Cost Accountant Requirements:
3+ years "hands on" cost accounting experience required in a standard cost system environment. Experience with indented bill of materials and labor routings required. 3+ years of experience in cost accounting; standard costing; perpetual inventory system; cycle counts; material, labor, overhead and freight variance analyses related to cost and efficiency variances. Experience in job costing / project costing as well as product costing. Comfortable working with multiple IT systems. Implementation experience with an ERP system. Experience enhancing and maintaining standard costing methodologies within ERP systems. Experience using Epicor 10 is preferred but not required. Ability to gather and analyze detailed financial data resulting in recommendations to business leaders. Intermediate + Microsoft Excel skills and other related applications. Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
