A Day in the Life as a Senior Accountant As a Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting accurate and timely financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and public company regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting the general ledger and month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and inventory Establishing and maintaining a daily bank reconciliation process, including timely follow-up on unposted transactions to support an efficient month-end close Recording and monitoring inventory transactions, including product rebranding, physical count adjustments, and pricing variances Managing fixed assets within the ERP system for all entities including recording depreciation as well as asset additions and disposals Managing and reconciling intercompany and intracompany transactions, including communication of intercompany charges Preparing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner What You Need Bachelor's degree in accounting 2+ years of relevant account experience Solid understanding ofU.S. GAAP, SOX
compliance, and SEC regulations Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and terminology Accurate and efficient with data entry and basic math calculations Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and customer service skills Detail orientated with strong time management, accuracy, and organizational skills Strong critical thinking skills and ability to use independent judgement to support strategic decision-making Experience with ERP and financial consolidation systems Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) What Makes You Stand Out Experience with Great Plains Dynamics Competitive Benefits Package Health insurance Dental insurance- 100% employer-paid Vision insurance
