Responsibilities:

The Accounting Supervisor directs and supervises all activities and personnel in the Cash Accounting department. Manage, develop and mentor team to enhance their performance, development and work product including goal setting and performance reviews. Assist in the creation/maintenance of an "achievement" team culture—customer-focused, proactive communication and dissemination of information, career/goal development for team, focus on team-building, recognition of team efforts/accomplishments, etc. Review cash reconciliations prepared by the team and provide effective feedback as appropriate. Address problems with work quality, issues between teammates and other concerns in an effective, timely manner Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for accurate and timely analysis of financial data, ensuring best practices Investigate root cause and communicate reconciliation variances and issues found in balance sheet accounts to upper management on a timely basis Effectively analyze data to identify focus areas Identify process opportunities and serve as subject matter expert on related projects Structure and lead projects Collaborate with key stakeholders to align expectations and partner on the delivery of cash reconciliations and resolution of reconciling items. Work closely with facility personnel, department leaders and team members, assisting with any accounting/financial questions or needs

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required 6+ years experience in a business setting required 4+ years of supervisory experience required Understanding of accounting principles, including debits/credits, standard account reconciliations
