Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing organization in the Bakersfield, CA area. This management-level role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys leading daily accounting operations, supporting accurate financial reporting, and improving processes in a fast-paced production environment. The Accounting Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing general ledger activity, supporting month-end close, reviewing reconciliations, and partnering with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily accounting operations, including general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and close-related tasks. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Review accounting work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards. Partner with operations, finance, and leadership teams to provide reporting support, resolve discrepancies, and improve accounting processes. Assist with audit preparation, documentation, internal controls, and compliance-related activities. Lead, coach, and support accounting staff to promote accuracy, efficiency, accountability, and professional development.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range:
