Description A growing manufacturing company in San Marcos is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to help oversee daily accounting operations while partnering closely with the Controller and Finance leadership. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant who is ready to take on more leadership, review work, improve processes, and become a key resource for the accounting team. You'll have exposure across month-end close, reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, financial reporting, and internal controls. What you'll own + Supervise and review day-to-day accounting activities + Lead portions of the monthly and year-end close + Review journal entries and account reconciliations + Oversee AP and AR activity + Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements + Monitor general ledger accuracy + Review accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts + Investigate variances and unusual transactions + Assist with budgeting and forecasting + Coordinate audit and tax-related requests + Develop and document accounting procedures + Identify opportunities to automate or streamline processes + Train and mentor accounting staff + Serve as a backup to the Controller when needed Requirements + 4-6+ years of progressive accounting experience + Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + Strong understanding of GAAP + Advanced Excel skills + Experience with an ERP/accounting system + Strong month-end close experience + Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience is a plus + Excellent analytical and communication skills Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
