Job Description
Job Summary The Premier Group is currently looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Office Administrator / Accounting Assistant to support daily operations for a busy construction office in Colorado Springs. This is a long-term temporary opportunity with consistent hours, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of accounting, administrative, and customer-facing responsibilities. Responsibilities This role will support both accounting and office operations, including: Accounting & Financial Duties Process weekly payroll in QuickBooks Handle monthly Simple IRA contributions Prepare and file monthly sales/use tax Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable (checks and credit cards) Process payroll taxes, W-2s, and 1099s Assist with certified payrolls and Davis-Bacon payroll reporting Reconcile and manage petty cash Construction & Project Support Maintain purchase orders and PO logs Process invoicing (day tickets and pay applications) Manage lien waivers and second-tier waivers Request Certificates of Insurance (COIs) Update and track change orders Prepare Pinnacol Workers' Compensation reports Administrative & Office Support Answer incoming calls and assist walk-in customers Coordinate office and building maintenance/repairs Distribute mail and manage filing systems Create and maintain file organization (including year-end archiving) Order office and job site supplies Assist with vehicle registration renewals Prepare and send customer statements Issue and reconcile petty cash for employees Assist with payroll-related tracking such as vacation schedules
Requirements:
Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration Experience in the construction industry strongly preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks required Strong understanding of payroll, AP/AR, and reconciliations Highly organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities Strong communication and customer service skills The perks of joining our team: Up to $21.00/hour depending on experience Benefits package: health, dental, vision, short term disability and life insurance PTO 401k Retirement Savings Weekly pay Growth opportunities Employee referral program For immediate consideration, please call our office today: (719) 375-1730 COS1Pay:
