Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting administrative operations. Responsibilities Receive all purchase orders and import into Accounts Payable Process data entry for accounts payable and accounts receivable using Sage Intact. Filing and scanning for the CFO, Director of Maintenance, HR, and other members of the accounting staff. Record receipt of all checks as requested by the corporate accountant. Book square payments. Handle customer service inquiries related to billing, payments, and account status with professionalism and efficiency. Collections for Delaware Lock and Maintenance and other departments when required. Cover the receptionist desk during breaks, vacation or as needed. Skills Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, account analysis, and account reconciliation. Proficiency in accounting software Sage or other accounting software platforms. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; familiarity with 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel for data analysis and spreadsheets management. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating strong numeracy skills and financial acumen. Effective communication skills combined with customer service experience to support internal teams and external vendors.
