Job Description

Accounting Administrator / Accounting Assistant Palm Springs, Florida Full-Time | On-Site $20-25/hour (based on experience) Job Summary Growing commercial electrical subcontractor) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to support our busy accounting department. This role focuses on high-volume data entry, administrative support, and basic accounting tasks across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and HR. Ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP): Enter and process vendor invoices Match invoices to purchase orders and job records Maintain vendor files (W-9s, insurance, lien waivers) Assist with payment processing Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist with customer invoicing and billing documentation Track billing status and maintain organized records Support collections follow-up Payroll /
HR Support:
Assist with timecard collection and data entry Maintain employee and onboarding records General Accounting /
Administrative:
Maintain organized digital and paper files Assist with job cost documentation Support month-end tasks and reporting Provide general administrative support to accounting team Qualifications 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable with high-volume, repetitive tasks Basic understanding of accounting principles Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred (Not Required) Construction or subcontractor accounting experience Familiarity with job costing Experience with accounting software (Sage, Viewpoint, QuickBooks, etc.) Knowledge of lien waivers or construction documentation Why Work With Us Established and growing company with steady work Opportunity to learn multiple areas of accounting Team-oriented environment Growth potential within the company Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays
