Job Description

We are looking to add an Accounting Manager to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. This role will oversee core accounting activities with a strong emphasis on receivables, billing accuracy, and day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting experience, sound judgment, and the ability to strengthen processes while improving visibility across the function. Robert Half Full-Time Engagement Professionals enjoy both variety — through successive engagements with a diverse clientele — and wide-ranging responsibilities through ever-changing demands and new situations, projects and business challenges. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements. To apply for this role, please call Dan Diez at 808.452.0260.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee accounts receivable activities, including reviewing balances, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting accurate cash application.
  • Manage customer billing tasks by preparing invoices, processing refunds, and addressing account issues in a timely manner.
  • Compare daily collection records against receipts to confirm completeness and resolve variances promptly.
  • Monitor billing outcomes to identify undercharges or overcharges and take corrective action to maintain accuracy.
  • Create and refine accounting procedures that promote consistency, efficiency, and stronger internal controls.
  • Use QuickBooks Online to maintain financial records, support reporting, and assist with routine accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve how financial data moves between systems and reduce manual inefficiencies.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to enhance organization, clarify processes, and increase transparency within the department.
