Job Description

Position:
Full-time, Union Accounting Administrative Assistant Location:
Honolulu Industry:
Union Schedule:
Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm + occasional
Saturdays Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour (depends on experience)
Parking:
On site Candidates must be in-state to apply and be considered.

Free Online Skill Classes, EAP, Discounts & many more A local union organization is looking for a Union Accounting Administrative Assistant where you'll handle a variety of tasks including processing payments, assisting members with paperwork, and maintaining accurate reports. You'll thrive in a dynamic environment using QuickBooks and Excel, managing communications, and supporting key administrative duties. Strong organizational skills and a commitment to community involvement make this role both rewarding and impactful.
Job Duties:
Provide front-office support including phone and email communications, applicant intake, member assistance, and general administrative support Process cash, check, and credit card payments; prepare weekly deposits and maintain accurate financial records Enter deposits, expenses, checks, and transfers into QuickBooks and assist with monthly account reconciliations Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to membership status changes, delinquent dues, unemployment forms, and job targeting hours Prepare and distribute mailings, including delinquent dues notices, and assist with meeting and event logistics Scan, file, and maintain confidential membership, employment, and financial records Prepare contractor lien releases and support membership application and onboarding processes Assist with office operations, weekly task reporting, and occasional evening or weekend event support Participate in union functions, community outreach efforts, and other duties as assigned #
RemedyHIjobs Job Requirements:
HS Diploma + 2 years of administrative experience Experience with membership services, accounting support, bookkeeping, or union office operations, preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Comfort managing communications and documentation Familiarity with payment processing; QuickBooks experience preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Willingness to support occasional evening/weekend events and contribute to community engagement efforts Equal Opportunity Employer
