Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant and become a vital part of our financial operations! This energetic role combines essential accounting functions with administrative support, ensuring smooth financial workflows and organizational efficiency. You will handle a variety of tasks that keep our financial systems running seamlessly while providing exceptional administrative assistance. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Enter bills, invoices, deposits, and journal entries into accounting software Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing Track job costs and construction budgets Monitor subcontractor invoices and vendor payments Assist with customer billing and collections Maintain organized financial and project records Answer phones, respond to emails, and greet clients professionally Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating appointments Prepare contracts, change orders, proposals, and other project documents Order office supplies and maintain office organization Support owners with special projects and other administrative duties as needed Handle confidential financial and business information with discretion
Qualifications:
3+ years of bookkeeping experience (construction industry preferred) Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional communication and customer service skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Willingness to assist with administrative tasks beyond bookkeeping
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats. This position requires a highly organized, dependable individual who can manage bookkeeping responsibilities while also supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of our growing custom home building company. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and takes pride in keeping the office running smoothly.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
