Job Description

Accounting Assistant
  • Position Overview The Data Entry Accounting Assistant provides administrative and accounting support by accurately entering financial data, reconciling records, and assisting with daily accounting operations.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers and digital systems. Key Responsibilities Financial Data Entry — Enter invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial information into accounting systems with high accuracy. Record Maintenance — Organize and update digital and physical financial files, ensuring completeness and compliance. Transaction Processing — Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including coding and posting transactions. Reconciliation Support — Help reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and internal records. Reporting Assistance — Generate basic financial reports and summaries for the accounting team.
Vendor Management:
Manage vendor onboarding paperwork and keep trade partner agreements and insurance documents current. Accounts Payable Support — Assist with vendor invoice processing, coding, and payment scheduling. Accounts Receivable Support — Record incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts. Administrative Support — Provide general office support such as filing, scanning, answering phones and responding to internal inquiries. Other Areas — Keep showroom dusted and floors clean, pick up supply orders, keep office supplies organized. Assist Other Departments — As needed. Required Skills & Qualifications Attention to Detail — Ability to spot errors and maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks. Software Proficiency — Experience with Microsoft Office. Time Management — Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Confidentiality — Commitment to handling sensitive financial information responsibly. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an accounting or administrative support role. Accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar). Basic Accounting Knowledge — Understanding of common accounting terms and processes. Familiarity with bookkeeping procedures. Strong typing and data entry accuracy (typically 8,000-10,000 KPH). Work Environment Fast-paced office setting. Collaborative work with accountants and administrative staff. Regular use of computers, spreadsheets, and accounting platforms. Schedule This role can be either part time or full time. Our office hours are 7:30am
  • 4pm. This role will start in September 2026. Compensation Range $17
  • 20/hour depending on experience. Benefits Offered
