Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills, technical accounting knowledge, and a proactive approach to supporting our administrative needs. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data and streamline daily processes, empowering the organization's success. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, and Deacom. Perform data entry with precision, including journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations while ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and applicable governmental accounting standards. Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies for prompt resolution. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Assist with month-end closing activities, including ledger review and preparing financial reports for internal review. Handle customer service inquiries related to billing, payments, order status, and account status professionally and efficiently. Maintain organized records of financial transactions, supporting documentation, and audit trails for compliance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with familiarity in corporate or accounting environments. Knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel for data analysis is essential. Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to analyze financial data accurately and efficiently. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting customer inquiries. Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
