Established in 1945, Delta Industries aims to provide a solid foundation for economic prosperity and quality of life through construction materials solutions. We need an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the accounting team, partner closely with operations leadership, and ensure the Company consistently achieves a timely monthly close, while supporting scalability, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement. Other duties will include but will not be limited to the following: Lead all accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and inventory accounting. Monthly financial reporting, including execution of timely month-end close process, including revenue cycle, purchasing cycle with accruals, payroll accounting, property, plant and equipment and inventory reconciliation. Supervision of compliance with internal controls and recommendations for improvements to those controls. Manage delivery of information for annual audit of financial statements and support process as needed with national auditing firm. Assistance with the annual budgeting process. Monthly sales and use tax filings. Fleet truck accounting, including depreciation and required federal and state tax and reporting requirements. Identifying and recommending changes in accounting systems and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement in processes and documentation of accounting procedures. Collaborating effectively with field offices and supporting divisional staff as needed. Directing staff results through coaching, counseling, training, disciplining, monitoring, and rewarding appropriate job results. Preparation of sales tax, property tax, and other business tax filings, and coordinating delivery of information to income tax advisors and finalization of returns. Contributing to proper results by promoting teamwork and high performance. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from four-year college or university
