$58,000 - $62,000 (Dependent on Experience)

JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Supervisor oversees daily operations of the accounting and finance team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
NOTE:

These include, but are not limited to, the following: Cash Management ACH (Direct Deposit) Setup/Backup Submitter Approval of Exceptions Supplemental Payrolls Manual ACH Daily Tasks Available Funds & Bank Reconciliations Take immediate action regarding funding issues Handle Bank & NSF Returns Monthly Bank Account Analysis Trust Account Balance Analysis Ongoing Responsibilities Supervises the Accounting Team - approving PTO, approving timesheets, and conducting monthly meetings. Serves as a liaison between departments to facilitate the resolution of accounting and finance issues and ensure timely performance of functions. Performs all duties in compliance with internal procedures and external regulations, bringing compliance issues to the attention of management. Supervises accounting/finance staff, which may include work allocation, training, disciplinary actions, performance coaching, and client issue resolution. Handles special project management. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. An Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of experience directly related to the essential functions listed above. At least two years of supervisory experience including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial record keeping laws, regulations, principles, and procedures. Proficient attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong accounting and analytical skills. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Knowledge of payroll and reporting software. Effective/strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under time constraints and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines. Proven customer service skills and analytical skills with problem-solving abilities. A valid New Mexico driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience in a Service Bureau environment. Experience with iSolved Payroll Software.

This position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination such as keyboarding and handling of equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Prolonged exposure to a computer screen. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
