This vital role combines administrative excellence with comprehensive accounting responsibilities, ensuring smooth office operations and accurate financial management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills, technical accounting expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's success while developing your accounting and administrative skill set. Duties Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and record keeping to ensure an efficient work environment Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets and general ledger accounts, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards Process payroll accurately and efficiently, handling related documentation and compliance requirements Maintain detailed journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation activities to support accurate financial reporting Utilize spreadsheets and financial software for budgeting, financial report writing, and data analysis to support decision-making Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls through meticulous account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping practices Experience Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting Familiarity with various accounting systems including QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Demonstrated ability in payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and account reconciliation Experience working within public accounting or non-profit accounting environments is highly desirable Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or equivalent), 10-key typing skills, and financial report writing Knowledge of technical accounting principles such as GAAP standards and financial statement preparation Bookkeeping experience with a focus on accuracy in account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to excellence in both administrative support and financial management.
