Moeller Trucking, Inc. is a national trucking and logistics company operating 400 trucks, 600 trailers, and 3 terminal locations throughout the United States. We are growing and in search of a full-time Accounting Supervisor to join our talented staff at our Maria Stein, OH location. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will supervise a team of AP/AR support staff, handle core accounting functions, and develop financial analytics to support decision-making. We are looking for someone who uses technology to help improve and make processes more efficient. You will work closely with the CFO to maintain accurate records, drive operational efficiency through automation and process improvement and turn our data into insights to guide decisions across the company. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analytics Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and automated reporting to support financial/operational analysis and business decision-making Create data visualizations and analytical reports for management and stakeholders Assist the CFO in preparing monthly financial statements Build automated Excel-based reporting workflows and analytical models Perform data analysis and variance analyses to identify trends and insights Assist in preparation of financial forecasts and cash flow projections Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and special reports as needed Accounting Operations Supervise AP/AR staff and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Handle fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals Execute month-end/year-end close procedures Ensure accurate and timely account reconciliations and supporting documentation Coordinate with external auditors during financial and tax audits Manage miscellaneous business tax reporting (sales tax, excise tax, fuel tax, etc.) Maintain documentation and records in accordance with regulatory requirements Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through process improvement and technology enhancements Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4-5+ years of accounting experience, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience Business Intelligence/Data Visualization experience - PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools for designing dashboards and developing reports Advanced Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, Power Query, data analysis) Demonstrated history of improving processes, such as automating reports, streamlining workflows or implementing new software. Strong organizational and communication skills Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Experience in transportation, trucking, or logistics industry is preferred but not required. Pay ranging from $72,000 - $85,000 depending upon experience.
