As an Accounting Supervisor on our Controllership team, you will oversee a team of accounting professionals by reviewing their work, developing their capabilities, and ensuring accurate, timely deliverables across complex accounting processes. You will serve as a subject matter expert, a problem solver, and a go-to resource for your team while partnering closely with management to align priorities and strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Lead day-to-day and month end accounting operations by overseeing team deliverables, ensuring work meets the highest standards of accuracy, completeness, and documentation quality within established deadlines Translate GAAP knowledge into practical guidance, keeping procedures current and serving as the team's go-to resource on accounting matters Maintain a strong control environment by overseeing risk assessments and control documentation, closing gaps, and making informed recommendations that balance risk with operational efficiency Use performance data and KPIs to spot trends, drive accountability, and continuously raise the bar on team output and process execution Foster a culture of continuous improvement by empowering staff to challenge the status quo and seeing improvement initiatives through to completion Develop and inspire your team through intentional coaching, meaningful feedback, and personalized growth plans Anticipate roadblocks, resolve issues, and communicate risks proactively while keeping management informed and escalating when necessary Build collaborative relationships across the organization, adapting communication style to effectively engage team members, peers, and senior leadership alike
