About This Role Mastercraft Electric, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our growing team. This role will primarily support the Service Team by coordinating accounts payable review, customer invoicing, accounts receivable collections, job setup, and other day-to-day accounting functions. The Accounting Assistant will also provide broader support to the Accounting Team and assist with additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as business needs arise. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of general accounting principles, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the construction or electrical industry is preferred. What We Are Looking For Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook). 2+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Valid driver's license. Degree in Accounting preferred. Experience in construction or electrical accounting preferred. What You Will Do Billing, Invoicing & Collections Generate AR invoices after verifying that all charges are accurate, email invoices to the customer and designated internal stakeholders, and enter in the accounting system. Troubleshoot payment discrepancies. Manage accounts receivable collections, including follow up phone calls and emails. Respond to customer questions regarding invoices and payment options. Assist with partial billings. Accounting & Job Support Research charges or unidentified payments. Assist with customer and vendor portals. Set up service jobs in accounting system. Tax, Certificates & Lien Releases Update Washington sales tax information in the system each quarter. Collect resale certificates and record expiration dates in the database. Prepare lien releases as needed.
