Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Manager to oversee our financial records and accounting operations. This role combines hands-on bookkeeping with managerial responsibilities, ensuring accurate financial data management and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess a strong understanding of various accounting software and financial concepts. The job will include reconciling daily records, invoices, timekeeping of all staff, scheduling, new hire paperwork. It will be a job that mandates you keep the company and federal standards in check. Duties Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software the company uses. Perform general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure data integrity Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently Prepare and review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and account analysis reports Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct governmental accounting tasks and assist with budgeting activities Generate detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and analysis for internal review Qualifications Proven experience with bookkeeping, including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Windows, Excel, and all systems we use. Knowledge of corporate accounting principles, non-profit accounting practices, and governmental accounting standards Familiarity with GAAP compliance, tax experience, and technical accounting concepts Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation accurately Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks such as 10 key typing, account reconciliation, and budgeting simultaneously Effective communication skills for financial report writing and team collaboration Join us in a role that offers the opportunity to lead vital financial operations while supporting our organization's growth!
