This hands-on leadership role will oversee a small, tight-knit team and ensure efficient billing, collections, and account reconciliation processes across multiple dealership locations. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-7 AR specialists and clerks, fostering collaboration and accountability. Oversee daily posting, cash application, and reconciliation of customer accounts. Manage dealer group receivables, including manufacturer incentives, warranty claims, and intercompany transactions. Monitor aging reports, establish follow-up protocols, and maintain healthy DSO metrics. Collaborate with the Controller and CFO to report on AR trends, cash flow forecasts, and balance sheet accuracy. Drive process improvements to streamline receivables handling and strengthen internal controls. Partner with sales and service teams to resolve billing disputes and ensure timely payment. Support month-end close activities, journal entries, and audit requests as needed. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of progressive AR experience, including 2+ years in supervisory or management roles. Prior experience in an automotive dealership environment strongly preferred. Solid understanding of dealership accounting systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar). Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP financial reporting. Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
