We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and oversee the AR function for a construction-focused organization. This role is critical to maintaining healthy cash flow across multiple active projects and requires deep, hands-on experience within the construction industry . The ideal candidate understands construction billing cycles, lien laws, retainage, and the nuances of working with owners, GCs, and subcontractors.Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full accounts receivable lifecycle for construction projects Oversee and prepare progress billings Ensure timely and accurate invoicing in accordance with contract terms Track and manage retainage , change orders, and billing adjustments Monitor AR aging reports and drive collection efforts Collaborate closely with project managers, project accountants, and operations teams Resolve billing discrepancies and customer payment issues efficiently Ensure compliance with the state laws Lead, mentor, and develop AR staff (currently 2-3)Required Qualifications:
5+ years of accounts receivable experience in the construction industry (required) Prior experience in an AR Manager or lead role Strong knowledge of construction billing practices Experience managing retainage, lien waivers, and contract-driven billing Proficiency with construction accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Vista, Sage, Procore Financials, or similar) Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clientsPreferred Qualifications:
