Agriculture / Agribusiness Position Overview Key Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Supervisor for a well-established agricultural company in Delano, CA. We are seeking a strong accounting professional who can take ownership of day-to-day AP and AR operations while providing hands-on leadership to the accounting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing the full AP/AR cycle, supervising employees, maintaining strong internal controls, and working cross-functionally with operations and procurement. Experience within agriculture, agribusiness, food processing, farming, or another industry with seasonal purchasing and revenue cycles is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Oversee the full-cycle Accounts Payable process , including invoice processing, coding, approvals, vendor payments, and reconciliations. Manage the Accounts Receivable process , including invoicing, billing accuracy, cash application, aging, and collections. Monitor vendor and customer accounts and quickly resolve discrepancies. Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, transportation providers, contractors, customers, and other business partners. Monitor customer credit limits, aging reports, collections, and overall cash flow. Work closely with operations and procurement to resolve billing, purchasing, and delivery discrepancies. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accuracy and compliance with company procedures and audit requirements. Support month-end and year-end close activities related to AP and AR. Assist with audits, financial reporting, reconciliations, and ad hoc accounting analysis. Supervise and develop accounting staff, including performance management, workforce planning, hiring, and employee accountability. Evaluate existing AP/AR processes and implement improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency. Identify opportunities for automation and improvements within ERP/accounting systems. Collaborate with operations, farm management, procurement, and accounting leadership to support company financial goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required. Minimum 5 years of progressive Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience . Previous supervisory or management experience required . Strong understanding of full-cycle AP/AR, cash flow management, reconciliations, collections, and internal controls . Agriculture or agribusiness accounting experience is strongly preferred . Experience working with seasonal purchasing and revenue cycles is highly desirable. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems, or similar platforms . Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Demonstrated ability to lead employees, improve processes, and independently resolve accounting discrepancies. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
