full-time Accounts Payable Manager San Jose, CA Ciarra Construction is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to take full ownership of our Accounts Payable function. This is a high-impact, hands-on role responsible for managing the entire AP lifecycle while driving process improvements and supporting the continued implementation of digital accounting tools. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoys improving processes, and takes pride in building an efficient, well-organized AP operation. What You'll Do Own the full Accounts Payable lifecycle, from invoice receipt through payment. Process vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately and ensure timely entry into Acumatica. Partner with Project Managers to obtain invoice approvals, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate job cost allocation. Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH, credit cards, and joint checks. Review AP Aging reports, assist with cash flow planning, and prioritize vendor payments. Communicate with vendors regarding payment status, reconciliations, and account inquiries. Lead month-end AP close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and cutoff procedures. Maintain organized, audit-ready AP records and support audits and special accounting projects. Ensure compliance with subcontractor and vendor documentation, including W-9s, lien waivers, insurance certificates, and related records. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of digital AP tools and workflows. What We're Looking For Experience leading the full Accounts Payable function in a construction environment. Strong understanding of subcontractor billing, job costing, and vendor management. Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica experience is a plus). Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Comfortable working cross-functionally with Project Managers, vendors, and leadership. A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and embracing technology. Why Ciarra Construction?
