AR/AP Manager Tri-Lift, Inc. - 3.1 East Haven, CT Job Details Full-time $65,000 - $80,000 a year 7 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Paid sick time Qualifications Analysis skills Attention to detail Analytical thinking Accounting Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AP/AR Manager to own our end-to-end receivables and payables operations. You'll lead a small team, and drive process automation while ensuring accurate, timely accounting close. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing both AP and AR functions, strong reconciliation skills, and a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records and improving accounting processes. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day Accounts Receivable (cash application, aging reports, collections, credit reviews) and Accounts Payable (invoice processing, 3-way match, aging reports, vendor management, payments). Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Oversee month-end close activities for
AR/AP:
reconciliations, accruals, aging reviews, and journal entries; ensure accuracy under GAAP. Partner with department managers to resolve billing issues, disputes, and PO variances. Monitor vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, TIN validation, and compliance with 1099 reporting. Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing AR/AP team; manage workload and priorities. Qualifications 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant AR/AP ownership; 5+ years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivots); data analysis and reconciliation strengths. Excellent organization and communication skills. Detail-oriented, process-minded, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple priorites and meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Strong problem-solving skills. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
