Exempt About the Opportunity A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager, Accounts Payable to lead day-to-day accounts payable operations and oversee a team of accounting professionals. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing, maintaining strong internal controls, developing team members, and driving continuous process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a team of Accounts Payable professionals Oversee daily accounts payable operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Manage invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliations, and issue resolution Review and approve invoice coding, payment runs, and related transactions Support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reporting requirements Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders Partner with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, and other departments to support business objectives Assist with internal and external audits and provide supporting documentation as needed Monitor departmental performance metrics and service levels Support process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple locations Qualifications 3+ years of Accounts Payable leadership, supervisory, or management experience Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing teams Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, controls, and best practices Manufacturing industry experience preferred Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience utilizing ERP systems and accounting software Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement Preferred Skills Experience driving process improvement initiatives Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams Experience supporting audits and compliance activities Benefits Comprehensive benefits package available, including health and wellness benefits, paid time off, retirement savings options, and professional development opportunities. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
