Job Description Overview Insight Global is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead a high-volume AP function for Orlando Health. This individual will provide strategic leadership, oversee a sizable AP operation processing more than 50,000 invoices monthly (roughly 12,000 weekly), and drive process optimization, automation initiatives, and technology enhancements. The ideal candidate brings a combination of strong people leadership, operational excellence, and a forward-thinking mindset around AP transformation. This role will play a key part in modernizing processes, improving efficiency, and leveraging technology to enhance the vendor payment experience. Orlando Health goes through multiple mergers and acquisitions, integrations, etc. We need an individual who is fluid with change and high intensity mindset Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic finance business partner to executive leadership.
  • Oversee complex accounts payable operations supporting multiple business units.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial processing and reporting.
  • Lead initiatives focused on automation, process improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute strategies that improve productivity, controls, service levels, and overall performance.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Establish departmental goals, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions that improve quality while reducing costs.
  • Support budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, and other finance-related activities.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure effective payment processes.
  • Monitor departmental budgets and promote cost-effective operations.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to support strategic initiatives and business objectives.
  • Oversee hiring, coaching, performance management, and professional development within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and financial controls.

  • 6+ years of Accounts Payable leadership experience (will have a downline of roughly 25, working with 3-5 direct reports)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Experience overseeing high-volume AP operations processing 50,000+ invoices monthly
  • Strong experience with ERP and AP management systems (Lawson, Brainware, Perceptive, etc.)
  • Experience in a large enterprise that makes daily payment runs, shared services system, etc.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to improve processes, implement automation, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Experience leading and developing large teams Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • CPA designation
  • Experience leading large-scale AP transformation initiatives
  • Background in Healthcare
  • Exposure to workflow automation, process optimization, and financial technology implementations
