Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This long-term contract role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, expertise in managing accounts payable processes, and a drive for operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
- Review, code, and process invoices in compliance with organizational standards and procedures.
- Coordinate regular check runs and facilitate Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions to maintain smooth payment operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Monitor accounts payable metrics and provide actionable insights to improve performance.
- Train and mentor team members to ensure consistent adherence to best practices and company standards.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts payable activities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes. Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable management or a related role.
- Proficiency in coding invoices and executing check runs with attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with internal teams and vendors.
- Familiarity with financial compliance and regulations.
