Assistant Accounts Payable Manager Centerline Communications - 3.2 West Bridgewater, MA Job Details 12 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Referral program Qualifications Accounting systems Staff supervision Internal controls GAAP Managing accounting teams Full Job Description Centerline is looking for an experienced Assistant Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable function and ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of vendor payments across the organization. In this role, you will manage a team of AP professionals, strengthen internal controls, and partner closely with Finance, Operations, and vendors to keep our payables running smoothly as the company continues to grow. What You Will Do Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, including supervise, train, and mentor AP Staff, assign daily workloads and handle performance reviews. Oversee high-volume invoice processing, PO matching, coding accuracy, and payment approvals. Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policy, and applicable regulations, including 1099 reporting Act as an escalation point for complex vendor discrepancies, processing errors, and payment rejections. Monitor and improve AP metrics such as days payable outstanding (DPO), invoice cycle time, and on-time payment rate Manage month-end close activities related to AP, including accruals and account reconciliations Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement automated procurement to pay (P2P) solutions. Assist with internal and external audits, manage SOX compliance controls, and support month-end close activities like accruals What You Will Need 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role Strong knowledge of AP processes, GAAP, and internal controls Experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) Proficiency in Excel; experience with AP automation tools is a plus Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with high attention to detail Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment This position will require in office presence 3 days a week. (West Bridgewater, MA.-Roswell, GA.)
