Exempt Position Summary The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounts receivable function for a sign manufacturing company. This position ensures timely and accurate billing, collections, cash application, customer account management, and compliance with company policies. The Accounts Receivable Manager works closely with project managers, sales personnel, production teams, and customers to ensure invoices are accurate and payments are collected in accordance with established terms. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and oversee daily accounts receivable operations. Supervise billing/collections staff, providing training, coaching, and performance management. Generate and distribute customer invoices based on completed projects, progress billings, service work, and contract terms. Review customer contracts and purchase orders to ensure proper billing requirements are met. Monitor aging reports and proactively manage collection efforts to minimize past-due accounts. Contact customers regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, customer disputes, short payments, and deductions. Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile accounts receivable balances. Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports, aging analyses, and cash flow forecasts. Coordinate with project managers and sales teams regarding project billing status and collection issues. Establish and maintain customer credit limits and evaluate customer creditworthiness. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, audits, and financial reporting requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. Maintain customer account records and supporting documentation. Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce collection periods. Support management with financial analysis and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounts receivable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. Manufacturing industry experience preferred; sign manufacturing or project-based billing experience highly desirable. Strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable processes, and credit management. Experience with ERP/accounting software systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong communication and customer service abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of project billing, progress billing, and contract-based invoicing. Knowledge of collection laws and credit management practices. Ability to analyze aging reports and identify collection risks. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. Leadership and team development skills. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer. Frequent use of hands and fingers for keyboard and calculator operation. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work Environment Primarily office environment within a manufacturing facility. Occasional interaction with production personnel and customers. Moderate noise levels typical of a manufacturing operation.

$45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
