Job Description
- Performs daily audits with the maintenance of financial records and the preparation of financial reports for distribution to management.
- Completes biweekly payroll including calculating and inputting tips for appropriate employees.
- Assists in ensuring the integrity of internal controls to safeguard the property's assets.
- Maintains knowledge of existing internal and external accounting policies and procedures, with the goal of ensuring procedural compliance in the assigned operational area and gaining understanding of other areas.
- Does the daily auditing of specific areas, as well as posting detail accounting reports in a timely manner.
- Monitors audit paperwork to ensure proper procedures are being followed at all times. Reports any variances. Checks work, finds and solves variances and/or discrepancies under direction of the Controller. Balances daily reports.
- Performs variety of accounting, record keeping and clerical functions in the accounting department and provides efficient, timely customer service to both external and internal customers.
- Processes and audits W2G documents to ensure accuracy in a timely manner.
- Cooperates and responds to audits conducted by outside agencies such as the Division of Gaming and external auditors.
- Enters statistical information into spreadsheets and balances to the computer system. Generates various reports for gaming and non-gaming audit areas.
- Summarizes, calculates and records numbers on various documents. Reviews, reconciles and verifies documents for proper completion.
- Files and retrieves paperwork correctly for employee files.
- Works closely with operation departments to ensure internal compliance guidelines are followed. Understands and complies with company and departmental directives, policies and procedures.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
- Ensures required gaming license is valid and up-to-date.
