NEW Senior Privacy Associate Opportunity -
Southern Connecticut Department:
Corporate Compliance Job Summary The Senior Privacy Associate supports the organization's HIPAA privacy program by monitoring compliance, conducting audits and investigations, and providing education on privacy regulations. This role works closely with leadership, physicians, legal counsel, and staff to ensure patient privacy is maintained in accordance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Monitor and evaluate compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations and internal policies Review electronic medical record access reports and investigate potential privacy violations Conduct privacy audits and compliance monitoring across departments Manage and document privacy investigations and corrective action plans Develop and deliver privacy training for new and existing employees Serve as a resource for staff regarding HIPAA compliance and privacy policies Research regulatory updates and assess impact on organizational privacy practices Assist with privacy risk assessments and compliance reporting Prepare reports and presentations on privacy activities for leadership and committees Collaborate with compliance, risk management, IT security, and leadership on privacy issues And more! Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in healthcare privacy, compliance, or a regulatory environment Strong knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements Experience with electronic medical records (Epic preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) Education & Certifications Bachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred CHPC, CIPP, or CIPM certification preferred Interested!?
