IFANCA is a leader in the realm of Halal certification services, providing Halal certificates for products and ingredients since 1982.
Description:
Technical evaluation of applications, products, and related documents to ensure meeting the Halal standards. Conduct the technical audit to ensure that the facility and production process meet the Halal requirements.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1. Evaluate applications and documents submitted by clients through a technical review process. 2. Conduct technical assessments for requests about the certification of raw materials, ingredients, or products from both existing and prospective clients. 3. Apply Halal standards and requirements during the evaluation of clients' applications or inquiries to ensure compliance with Halal certification criteria. 4. Offer conclusive reviews, recommendations, and suggestions regarding client applications and inquiries. 5. Implement audit principles, procedures, and techniques to ensure a comprehensive assessment. 6. Efficiently plan, organize, and conduct on site audits. 7. Evaluate factors that may impact the reliability of audit findings and conclusions. 8. Gather information through adept interviewing, attentive listening, observation, and document review. 9. Develop detailed audit reports that encompass all relevant aspects. 10. Uphold the confidentiality and security of information throughout the auditing process. 11. Witness and evaluate the performance of fellow technical auditors. 12. Contribute to the Halal Portal project, focusing on establishing a comprehensive database on the IFANCA website containing information on all client ingredients used in their products. 13. Manage ingredients by reviewing and categorizing them into the appropriate "H" category. 14. Oversee Schedule H management, including the collection from companies, reformatting into a Schedule H template, uploading files to the Company/Plants folder, and maintaining Schedule H files with regular updates in collaboration with companies and reviewers.
REQUIREMENTS
Mature and personal Muslim faith Comprehensive understanding and commitment to Islamic religious considerations, Halal standards, and regulatory requirements. Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Pharm D etc. Minimum 5 years of experience in Halal certification, food industry, auditing, management, and customer service. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to perform effectively under pressure. Experience working in a team environment and ability to provide leadership and supervision. Proficiency in MS Office applications and ability to utilize other software programs as needed Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
